PC (Steam) - Massive FPS Drops When Moving Mouse
Steps to Reproduce
1. Launch Game
2. Move Mouse
Additional Information
I've tried just about everything to fix this using information regarding this problem that I found online. Ran game as an administrator, adjusted polling rate in mouse software down to 125 hz, tried a different mouse (Razer Deathadder, then Logitech Superlight 2), followed the instructions in this video, tried reinstalling, verifying files, all drivers and windows are updated to the latest versions. I played 2v8 a couple weeks ago and didn't have this problem, just tried playing Dracula and it started happening. I did the full Kill the Bots tutorial with a controller and the game ran perfectly fine the entire time so it is only when I move the mouse. The controller is not plugged in when this issue occurs either.

I also have this issue. The game has low and stuttering fps no matter what on the main screen (those damn flying bats?) BUT whenever the mouse moves it drops wildly. When I first loaded into a match (which took longer than usual for me) I dint move or touch the mouse…60 fps. But as soon as I looked around 23 fps to 3 fps back to 45 fps. Got on a gen and tried not to move mouse…56-60 fps provided I didn’t move the camera a single pixel. Here’s the thing. I tired different mouses no difference….but just for fun I plugged in my controller to test it, launched the game, it froze, closed it and relaunched without the controller plugged in and now no severe fps drops.Werid…
It’s still bad but totally playable. One more thing of note and one or all of these things may have helped me. I have Stardock’s ObjectDock installed and running. EAC has recently been giving me errors related it ever since the castlevannia update. So I disabled ObjectDock, Steam Overlay and Nvidia Overlay, and terminated all Razer executables from running. One or all of those things has mostly improved the fps problem. Who knows which of those fixes worked. I’m afraid to tinker around cuz I can at least play the game again.0
