Game takes way too long to launch

Ever since the recent update with the castlevania chapter, my game seems to take eons to launch. I am just staring at blank black screen for a few minutes before the dbd logo even appears. Then only it starts loading whatever it needs to load. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

I have no issues launching other games on steam. Games that are more resource intensive load just fine. So, it cannot be a PC issue. I am pretty certain that something got changed in the recent update that is causing the game to launch incredibly slow.

    i have this issue too, it takes about 15 minutes for the actual game to launch after the anti-cheat screen then it takes half an hour to get past the starting load screen

    Yes, the initial loading time takes a lot longer now and it is laggy af. Settles after some time in the menu.

    My PS4 now loads faster than my PC.

    It is clearly update related.

    But they close all reports with technical issues. So i guess no help is coming - i hope they acknowledge it internally.

    it takes 1min 45 seconds to open the game, from when I click on via steam.

    It wouldn't be SO bad if you could walk away, get a drink, and come back to the Main Menu.

    Instead, you come back to "Press any button" but THEN you have to wait for it to load even more AND remember to press a button AGAIN to skip the seizure warning AND AGAIN to skip the cinematic.

    And then it loads more, and then you have to wait for the menu animation to finish…

    I've had this issue for a long time, it got better but now it's back. It takes me 1 hour to finally get to the Survivor or Killer screen selection. By that time I can only play 2 or 3 games then gotta continue with my day. It's so irritating.
