What is going on with servers?

I'm from Australia, so I SHOULD be getting Oceanic servers, which I do during the day. But for whatever reason when it hits like 12am (Melbourne time), I get Asian servers? It's getting really frustrating trying to play on insane ping just because I want to play the game past a certain time. Is there a way to just keep it on Aus servers, or is it something else?

I've heard, but cant confirm, BHVR did something to save money on server costs. So… this is your dbd now.
