Every single time I use white ward, ever since the update before drac. It never works, doesnt matter what happens; I drop it, I die, I give it to someone else. White Ward takes the offering and never gives me my item back no matter what. Didnt pick another item up, doesnt matter its gone. Its stupid

    If you lose the item, it's not protected because you don't have the item to protect anymore. You have to keep it in-hand. For example, you can't give the item to someone else and then get it back with a duplication exploit. If it's dropped on the ground, it doesn't duplicate and come back into your inventory again. If you use an item that "uses up" the item such as styptic agents or syringes on medkits, it doesn't materialize again back in your inventory. It only functions if it still "belongs" to you.
