Alien acidic blood addon not working

The acidic blood addon works once then never again the rest of the game.
I think it has something to do with the perk nemesis and remember me. I was trying to use a build with those perks combined with the addon but I think they stop it from working a second time. I also had spirit fury and enduring along with parkers headband.
