So much outrage

i don't think skull merchant enables anything special. her gameplay loop is fine.
I don't think that my idea is golden, I just think it would be better at making her less annoying when compared to what the devs are proposing.
She might not be your cup of tea to face and that is fine.

She is designed to control the map and defend generators. No killer that does that is ever popular. Zoning is needed to add gameplay variety, but people generally don't like playing against it. I don't think that will ever change.
I'm not giving up against her. I almost never see her. I've just accepted the reality that until the devs address her more annoying aspects, that people are going to keep giving up and matches against her are going to suck.

i think if you winning against her, you won't be able to really complain.

Maybe her sucking will make people hate her less. We can only hope.

I hate seeing any killer nerfed into the ground without compensation. Didn't like it when it happened to Freddy. Don't like that it's happening to Skull Merchant. Don't get me wrong, Skull Merchant's original kit was terribly conceived, but people have paid for the character and some people enjoy the current version.

Buying a killer does not entitle you to keep them as-is forever and shouldn't. Perks are changed over time after all, but killers and survivors didn't get to keep those.

Twins was by far the buggiest patch EVER. The killer flat out didn't function, many bugs with the killer just completely disabled your power, or made you get stuck in the ground, or made you get stuck as victor, matches often didn't finish for anyone else due to map issues, the server was constantly dying. It was so bad that it was the only DLC that i never actually bought with money. I spent my shards on it because i refused to support them for that update because the game was so fundamentally broken.

oh was that the one where a blind or pallet hit at any point of pick up resulted in the survivor being dropped?

Yes, it is.

Some of these changes are cool. Teamwork perks being slightly above F-Tier is a nice bonus. The mori update being a free Cypress is nice (though I feel the moris should still be more than bloodpoints), Corrective Action might actually be a threat now, and that Predator change actually makes it useable, along with a whole bunch of other niche perks getting adjusted.
On the flip side, some of these are just… bad. Like, why are we nerfing Blood Rush & Lucky Star? I have literally never seen anyone other than me use these perks. Dead Man's Switch got gutted. Unknown is literally the only Killer getting buffed, and of course the Skull Merchant changes.
I'm a bit conflicted. On one hand, I'm one of those people that actually liked old Skull Merchant, since no one could protect Totems anywhere NEAR as well as she could. And I actually enjoyed the two games I played as her (Chaos Shuffle & Anniversary) since her rework. So seeing her get absolutely gutted is frustrating, disheartening, and just feels awful all around.
On the other hand. it's making Pixel Bush through a hissy fit about it, and anything that ticks him off is a win in my book.
This one's a mixed bag, but I'd say it's mostly negative.

Not the most outrage and not really surprising. The larger the update, the more outrage, because the more changes BHVR makes the more likely there will be something a player is upset about.
Basekit unbreakable I remember being far more contentious.

I am being so serious, whatever dev is responsible for the balancing on this patch needs firing and hire someone who actually plays the game and has knowledge and the ability to test things.
