Why are there no Rift Fragments in the Lights Out Tome?

Took me a few games, but I just noticed that the challenges in the Lights Out Tome only reward us with Bloodpoints. There also aren't any given for completing the Tome. Why?

As far as I remember every other Event Tome has given Rift Fragments. I find it extremely strange for this to suddenly change, and with no official announcement that I could find. I'm hoping that this is a mistake because if they were removed on purpose, that's just lame.

    That's probably the most deciding factor for why I'm not playing until the event goes. It's an annoying mode, it's gonna hog the BP bonus from the normal mode, and its dumb limited-time tome doesn't even give rift stuff. I can live without those 3 customizables.
