Survivors, Skull Merchant will be more boring to face.
TL;DR It's bad. Real bad.
Let's just write it down….
The set-up will be pretty gone so the only option are going to be chase Drones.
Reminer, Scan Lines have 10m range, they are making a "compensation buff" with them being invisible outside of 16. Also, reduced the amount of Scan Lines. And they will be always in Scouting Mode… And also they are not making Rotation higher to balance the 1 Scan Line.
This goes into another thing, it's gonna be more boring in chase against SM.
Instead of you know, pulling Radar and having to reset own Bloodlust in order to time the rotation change to apply Hindered, it's going to be better to just… Bloodlust the hell out of Survivors.
Meaning, Killer will put less input and Survivovr will also have less interaction in chase on having to pay attention to Drone and timing the crouch and etc…. It's just going to be continue to chase basically against half of Clown's Intoxication and no forced medium vaults and Killer just having Drone act as a complete instead of a "sometimes passive, sometimes active" threat.
They didn't also specify *which* Scan Line is getting removed.
So you know there's a thing about placing Drone and doing a 2-tap with Claw Trap into timed attack, right?
It's entirely possible that instead of removing the "back" Scan Line (given the Drones always started with front and back Scan Line after being set-up), they could've removed the "front" one.
It's a pretty telegraphed attack as well given you pretty much have to sniff Survivor's back in order to make sure the Claw Trap will be applied for you to do the 2-tap. As Survivor, you can crouch it and SM will either be forced to M1, similar to like with Bubba, or just wait until her cool-down is off and then try again in which you can attempt the crouch again.
You cannot tell me the nerfs to Skull Merchant will make her nicer to ply against and less boring when objectively, the gameplay will be worse on BOTH ends.
