the mastermind getting stunned after breaking pallet

I was playing a game of The master mind when I used Virulent Bound on a survivor they just pulled down the pallet but I did not get stunned and they got caught by my power. later when I tried to destroy the pallet it stunned me instead. the platform it happened on was pc and it only occurred once in my match
