PC - Insane lag when first logging on
When I get on DBD for a first match of the day, I get insane lag. Like so bad that if I click on a loadout on a survivor it'll just freeze for a minute or two then jump to it. It gets worse in matches, I've had matches where if I start to run I freeze and rubberband in front of the killer and get downed instantly. I've also had matches where if I get hit, i freeze and I'm exhausted on the ground. Whenever I open the game for the first time too it just stays on a black screen until I alt-f4 and reopen DBD.
This also happens if I close dead by daylight then reopen it.
I've uninstalled then reinstalled dbd, verified the game files, updated my computer, updated my drivers, closed then reopened steam, restarted my computer and there's nothing I can do.
PC, Steam.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURRED- There is literally no way to recreate this. I just log on and it's insanely laggy, None of my other friends who play dbd experience this and I'm not sure if it's packet loss or something.

PC, Steam, Epic.
Every time I start dbd, my hard disk usage is at 100%. It lasts for 5 minutes or more.
If I start a match before it calms down, I get horrible frame drops and can't play the game. I didn't have this problem before Castlevania. I hope it gets better.0 -
It's gotten so bad I have to play a bot match every time I log into the game to brush all the lag away before actually playing. Started happening after Castlevania chapter got released.
