Do you think bots replacing dcs are a mistake?

I think it does. If killers wanted to play against bots then they picked custom match.

I hate bots in PVP games from the bottom of my heart…

But you see… They are working in DBD as a band-aid, since there is no solution to DCs other than DC penalty.

Well… We can (I believe so) try to encourage players to keep playing and don't give up. But there is some unhealthy and unsportsman mentality going on… Players are thinking that: - "I payed money for the game - so I can do what I want."

    It's so wrong to me… I don't know.

Bots are meant to help make up for the player missing so it doesn’t offset the match “as much”

Survivor bots exist to give the remaining survivors a fighting chance. Otherwise it would be an instant 3v1 and the game would be lost.

I do however think that in the unlikely event that ALL survivors DC, the killer should be given the option to end the game, immediately sacrifing all remaining survivor bots. After all, the equivalent for survivors, the killer DCing, results in four escapes.

The bots are also there for the killer.

Before bots were added for disconnects, killers complained about not triggering perks like pain res and blood Warden because survivors would DC on the way to the hook and deny the perk.

That doesn't happen anymore, so those perks still provide value for the killer in those situations.

Actually I forgot about that option but for a reason: I always kill the players first.

My wincondition is always 3 kills at least and I don't count bots into it, so I don't even chase them most of the time xD

So, in your opinion, survivors should be even further punished if they decide to stay in a match where someone DCed, while killers get buffed even further, and have the game made even easier for them than it already is? Basically, you want your hand held even more. What, do you have a hand holding fetish, or do you just suck at the game?

I am vehemently against bots and PVE elements in PVP games. I don't even like the Nemesis zombies. I don't want to keep playing a bad trial when someone dcs. Let me out of that game.

bots do objectives, dc playmates as a rule, do not. also, the killer can tunnel the bots until their heart is content (at the cost of losing, but it must be awfully fun.) and nor spread ill-will further into the game.

Id love to see bots removed from survivor and I'm pretty sure all killers agree. They have a deep concern for being "good teammates" that they'd agree if a survivor DCs the whole game should stop. That would make it fair to everyone that was playing and keep their points. Unless I'm right and they really only care about their own game.

No, I do not think so. They’re not very good, but they are better than nothing. The best thing about them is that they do not deprive the killer of blood points or the potential to complete a Tome challenge, when a survivor DC’s.

No. It's the best way to help survivors a bit.

A four-bots match should be an automatic killer victory though. There is nothing fun chasing bots.

(Only happened once so far, thankfully)
