no game tag/cant join my friend

Hello guys,
today, i gifted one of my friends dbd , he played the tutorial and also played a public game, but me and another friend cant join him, nor can he join us.
It says smth like "cant accept invite" , i dont really know.
Im really confused.
my friend, me and my other friend play via steam, so we're pc players.
Also he dont have any kind of game tag.

its really frustrating.
