We have temporarily disabled Firecrackers and the Flashbang Perk due to a bug which could cause the Killer's game to crash. These will be re-enabled in an upcoming patch when the issue is resolved.

Rework Spine Chill at this point...

From being a meta perk, to an accessibility perk, to a completely useless perk.

Currently Spine Chill has almost no use, there is nothing the perk provides that other perks cannot do better, like Wake Up for faster Exit Gate opening speed, Deja Vu for gens, etc…

So what can be done about it? It cannot completely counter stealth Killers like it did before, since the Developers are trying to distance perks from affecting Killer powers, it cannot do what it does now, because the current effect is quite useless…

So how about something like this:

Spine Chill

An unnatural tingle warns you of impending doom.

  • Sense the Killer's Terror Radius 6/7/8 metres further.

Basically a reverse Monitor & Abuse, a very simple effect that could benefit you or actually hurt you depending on what the Killer runs. It won't work on Undetectable Killers, since you need a Terror Radius to increase it haha. The effect also only works on you, it doesn't increase the Terror Radius for other Survivors.

However, there aren't really that many Survivor perks that are triggered in the Killer's Terror Radius, so it doesn't have that much synergy, so if the effect proved to still be quite meh, even tho unique, you could slap some other effect onto it that triggers only in the Terror Radius, like for example:

  • While in the Killer's Terror Radius, you won't scream.

Or maybe something like:

  • While in the Killer's Terror Radius, you unhook, heal, sabotage, cleanse, bless, open chests and open the hatch 10% quicker.

Something simple like this that has an impact on the match a little but doesn't really boost your Survival rates that much.
