Gen regressions just seems nessecary on Killer
If you dont run gen regression, youre gonna set yourself up for either a loss or an extremely tough match!
Why is the game designed that way?
I genuenly dont understand how it is almost expected for Killers to have to run one set of perks for the CHANCE to win the game!
Oh you took like 15 sec to find and 20-30 sec in your first chase? Well, thats 1 or most likely 2/5ths of the survivors objectives done… whilst you get 1/12th. seems balanced…
I genuenly despise BHVRs focus on gen regression and think that this is the core issue to camping and tunneling. Think about it! Why do Killers camp and tunnel? To get one gen-doing survivor out of the game as fast as they can! As soon as thats completed, the game becomes a lot easier. Because having multiple survivors sit on gens is just ridiculously unbalanced from the Killer PoV!
I almost NEVER run gen regression and Ive come to terms with it. But because of that, I keep going against absolute baby survivors that just predrop every single pallet they come across! Because at higher levels it is EXPECTED that you run gen regression!
My take would be: NERF gen regression, but BUFF survivor objective time… by A LOT.
I play DbD for the chases. Just sucks that I get one or two good chases (as Killer) in a game before the gates are powered! Unless I go against absolute babies, whom I get matched with because I dont run gen regression perks.

Something needs to be done! gens are too fast.

it wasn't changed because of endless 3 gen kicking gameplay. they could not really buff the number and let killer camp 3 gens entire game for free to w's…. until they did buff it and that is exactly what happened and than they had to revert and fix 3 gen balance. so they did fix 3 gen balance but they forgot to actually buff the gen kicking mechanic and no. 2.5%→5% is not good enough buff. need way more reward than that.
BVHR eventually has to attempt to fix the base-game killer delay in some shape form but who knows when that happens….. and when they do buff it, i can almost bet they'll also buff survivor…. with like…. anti-tunneling and proxy camping changes, so it won't even be free.

A simple solution to the so-called 3Gen B.S. excuses. BHVR needs to fix map Gen Spawn locations.
It's been literally the same locations since forever. Maybe instead of shrinking the maps, spread the Gens to not be so close to one another. And speaking of changing up locations, why NOT have Gen along the map perimeters along their walls? What's the difficulty if a Gen is along walls, Honestly?

corrupt should be basekit. Maybe a basekit deadlock that can only be unblocked faster by cleansing a totem. Idk just some ideas I have

it obvious that players should have built in gen defense and anti tactics perks at this point. Not one size fit all either. Allow killers to pick two gen defense perks at base before starting the match. The slower start killers like Trapper,Hag,Myers,Oni might want corrupt and dead lock. Fast movement killer who can leave hook quick and run around the board might want grim embrace and pop. Survivor should be allow to pick one anti tactic perk. DS or Unbreakable.
Of course you would have to remove the stronger gen defense from the perk pool or it just be 6 slow down builds (jolt, pop, pain res, corrupt, etc).

Should increase gen time to 100 second and buff thanatophobia agian.
1.6.0 make the gen slowdown ( Before Thanatophobia get destroyed )
Now generator so fast because they all Gen regressions perk get nerfed into the ground.

if they make regression perk base-kit, it is better to just put a perk that every single killer can use. Pain res and Surge are perks with said effect that virtually any killer can use. Surge does have basic attack requirement but this can easily be changed any down. they first need improve general regression of the game because it is making every gen defence perk very lackluster. Previously, they'd make-up lackluster over-time regression with high total numbers of regression like 25% max total progression Pop and Pain with 25% regression but now these perk got hard-nerfed so over-time regression matters more because all base stuff is weak. In practice, pop, pain res… like all regression perk should be good perks in theory…. but they're not because… base-kit is terrible.

Regression perks really aren't necessary if you keep up good macro pressure.
The start of the game is when the survivors are at their strongest, so you should expect to have around one gen done on average by the end of your first chase. That's not a bad thing, it's not setting you up for a loss, and it doesn't need to be changed- it's just an unavoidable element of games like this and it'd be unbalanced in the killer's favour if it worked any other way. What you should be focusing on is slowing down every other generator's completion with your basekit slowdown.
You mention that tunnelling is popular because getting one generator-doing survivor out of the match ASAP is strong, and it's a similar principle behind getting your slowdown from gameplay instead of perks. You could tunnel someone out, but since that's unbalanced and likely to be changed eventually, it's better to learn how to slow things down without doing it to safeguard yourself against the game changing later.
For some tips, your ultimate goal should be forcing multiple survivors to react to something at once. When a survivor's in chase with you, they can't do generators. When they're on a hook, they can't do generators. When they have to go save someone on the hook, they can't do generators. All three of those things can be happening at once, leaving only one survivor free to do gens, slowing down the game considerably. To achieve this, I'd highly recommend information perks to keep you informed of where survivors are, to cut down on lost time spent searching for people- if you can basically always be in chase you're exuding a lot of pressure, especially when someone's already hooked.
It's harder than relying on cheese strategies like tunnelling, obviously, but the returns are worth it once you get into the swing of things. As a happy bonus, playing this way makes any regression perks you do bring more potent.

Thats a common misconception used by unskilled players.

They just need to buff Gen perks, hell revert them all to their previous states now that you can't 3 Gen anymore with limited regression procs

Players are mad at aura reading perks just makes me wanna question them: - "would you like to see more gen regression perks?"
Honestly, what is going on…
When I want to play a killer match - I just can't think of other than at least 3 gen regression perks, because If I'm not going to use any - all gens will be done within 4-5m. Like, I'm sorry, but I can't keep up with the gen speed against survivor teams that I play.

Ikr. It's so weird. The survivors are weird

A game like this can't really be balanced around really good survivors, because then the other 90% of survivors would have a really bad time. Killer however has NEVER been easier throughout the history of this game.

Exactically, I love the chase and out gaming loops, it's the most fun part of this entire gaming experience. But I can't enjoy a single chase these days all because other survivors are in a damn rush to finish Gens in mere minutes. I loved a good looper. Sure it's both us really just pressing down M1 but rounding corners just enough and out playing each other was the best times. But no more. Because the rest of them have the gates up and running. Gens ALL TOGETHER Is the issue over all. Survivors hate being bored doing them, having a perk stalling them, the Entity blocking them, and anymore, Locations Spawning them so close and sooooo boring the same places for years. They're just entering trials going through the emotions. And if you're a solo player. It's dull. But everyone one of them have the hopes that maybe something will be different each time. But still the whole idea of needing Five Generators out seven to win the game, over the years needs a freaken change. Entirely.
