Black screen when launching through Steam but works fine through Epic Games

I've had this problem for a while (over a month) and thought it would fix itself but it's still not working.

If I launch the game through Steam it just gives me a black screen after the first screen when opening the game. This freezes my entire PC and forces me to restart or shut off my PC in order to be able to use my PC again. The game works fine through Epic but i don't like that launcher.

I have re-downloaded the game and steam, removed custom icons, repaired my steam library, verified the files and am now out of options. Google is not very helpful

Any help is appreciated!
