I know we'll have a mixture of opinions, I will say I'm glad myself that the first discussion I saw on here was a similar point to my own but this event looked sick. The void looks awesome this time around, the new event power & item seemed fun but after 4 games of survivor (granted against killers that didn't really want to have ANY fun, make it 5 actually now), this event is a let down. I made a build without knowing certain things which then made it entirely pointless; Balanced, blood rush, second wind, otr, but in the void the build doesn't work at all, yet the killer can still use power, even gains undetectable & a new power, meanwhile if I'm even lucky enough to get one I get a smoke grenade that makes it hard for me to see too, realistic I guess but why would I use THAT.
I hate the conversation of is the game killer or survivor sided but this game mode, this event is entirely in favour of the killer, free information, buff for them outright & a total death trap for survivors. I think if I'm to play this game mode I'll be doing it on the killer side from now on. I was looking forward to this event & now this is what it's turned into. We're in it now so we won't see any changes & it's just so sad.

They tend to do that with events sadly. At least it's a separate queue and not forced in the main game now.

Well that's true. Lobby times will still be awful either way & it's still just such a shame the event would be there but not enticing to play
