Go Back to Blighted Halloween

The blighted events for Halloween were thematically and I think, aesthetically better than the void-themed ones. Halloween is a time when the entity excises contaminants, altering the trials. I think that's more interesting theming than "everything is blue now. You can go into the in void, for reasons".

This Halloween event feels lackluster because it's a good and cool idea with too much extra stuff bolted on. Don't be afraid to go back and iterate on the basics.

I think the void realm is really cool and I'm very happy with the current event, but I miss the blight lore and aesthetic. I think visually, orange is a better match for Halloween than blue, even before we get into the pustules and claw-spikes and all that other freaky Entity goodness. I feel like the blight has largely been forgotten about, which is a shame, because it's probably the most distinct DBD visual and brand (barring Trapper himself.)

The void realm IS cool, but I too miss the old Blighted Halloween. The Old Event felt a lot like the Entity was having gestating period.

I really like the feeling of the Entity as a creature that we are lost in and in the recent event nothing of it speaks to me as the Entity experiencing anything. Sure yes I get it that the void is the Entity's Boneyard. But it feels so much less organic and biological from the Entity's side.

I don't want bHVR to go back, but I want them to just do just do a touch of the biological aspect which was in the older event.

Maybe the reason the Void Event happens is that Entity is regressing memory, its looking back to see if a dead memory maybe isn't so dead its worth feasting on for a couple more centuries. In real life Halloween was about old spirits returning, which could be related to the idea too. Old Spirits are being allowed in to see which of them still have enough juice to feed the entity.

one thing I am missing is that basement and gates used to be hallowen themed with pumpkin and ghost figures everywhere now they also stopped adding those decorations

Do you have pictures or anything? I haven’t played back then. They could probably make the normal world like it was back then and keep the portals and the void.
