Do you think it would be ok if the Pig had a 28 metre Terror Radius?
She used to have it on release, but then at some point it was normalized, I think it would be great if this change was reverted, nowadays we have Killers like Sadako who moves at 115% and has a 24 metre Terror Radius, or 110% Killers like Chucky or Deathslinger having 32 metre Terror Radiuses, what do you think?

Honestly sure, give her back her 28 meter terror radius. A lot of existing killers already break that rule nowadays and I don't see a point in maintaining it for the sake of consistency when it already isn't consistent. Even Huntress has gotten to keep her 20 meter TR all these years later.

I hope they move away from standardizing such stuff. It is cool to have killers with different terror radius sizes and it also reflects their character.
Making pigs terror radius 28m would fine, I hope they do it. It could probably even be 20-26m. I generally don’t understand why some stealth killers have a 32m terror radius. It kinda defeats the purpose of being a stealth killer.
After you mentioned Sadako I hope they reduce the terror radius and lullaby for her too to something like 18m.

Main’ed Pig.
Don't see too much reason for a 4m reduction in TR range apart from a feel-good “I’m unique, nostalgia, I got a a buff!”, other than slightly better synergy with Monitor and Abuse.
Her Power already causes her TR to shrink/disappear when she has a destination in mind to use it at, there are other perks out there that can give her undetectable phases, and she’s one of those Killers who you can let get even closer to you until running, with her middling chase strength anyway.
I wouldn’t be against an addon influencing her base TR to a slightly stronger degree, but see no reason for her base TR to be smaller.

It would be completely fine.

Yeah, I think she should get it back. There was never a reason to remove it.
5 -
Because the intent is to use their stealth power for stealth…

Shure, but having a smaller terror radius wouldn’t hurt either

In Pig's particular case though, she needs to slow herself down pretty significantly to get the stealth half, when the others either don't or they get FASTER, in Wraith's case. Giving her four meters more to get close sorta compensates the fact her stealth power makes her less mobile.
3 -
It would synergies better with her crouch since you can start crouching later.
3 -
Yea, it also takes the Terror Radius a while to fade away, so getting closer to Survivors without slowing you down so much would be great!
4 -
LOL. I thought she had a 24m terror radius all the time.
2 -
Yes. They should reduce her TR to 28. It was not a good change to begin with. I also agree with others saying we shouldn't move toward standardization of things like TR. I feel like 8/10 times they end up moving away from it later on anyways…

If I’m doing my math right:
4m/3.8ms - 4m/4.4ms
Saving 0.14s, or 0.63m gained prior to reaching the destination. The skill level and information needed to consistently utilize that outside of it being a placebo is not even expert friendly IMO.
And you can use John’s Medical File to reduce that to make it (If I’m calculating the +10% right being +0.44m/s to make crouched movement 4.24ms):
Saving 0.034s, or 0.15m of distance gained prior to reaching your destination.
By and large I think it would mostly be a placebo change. Only serving to make things a bit muddier categorically.
I do like tinkering with Terror radii, But think it should be within the realm of addons/Perks for the most part, part of the Power, unless there ane any obvious thematic/mechanical ties.Like Wesker’s ego, or Sadako not having super strong chase/not having true stealth with Demanifest due to the lullaby (ironically she can be stealthier while manifested and using Monitor).

Yes, please! Their entire reasoning for changing her to 32 meters was BS because they then released other killers (not to mention Myers who didn't get changed either) that were stealth but had a smaller terror radius.
GIVE AMANDA BACK HER 28M TERROR RADIUS, BHVR!3 -
It would still make timing the crouch without the survivors noticing the terror radius easier since you have 4 more meters to play around with.
In general having a smaller terror radius makes, that survivors notice the killer later. Even 4m would make a difference. Sure not a huge difference, but better than nothing.
If I would change the terror radius, I would reduce it more than 4m, but 4 would also be nice even when it is small.

Deathslinger would like to join 28m club.

A smaller TR would actually synergize well with crouch for utility and would pair well with certain add-ons and m&a. I know a lot of people have mentioned this isn't a necessary change, but it isn't a bad one by any means and encourages more unique playstyles and helps out a killer that has infamously struggled for a lot of the game's life.

not really, as someone pointed out it would be a placebo.
the real usage for 28 TR is to play with whispers and instacrouch whenever it highlighted, making it way more likely for you to attack survivors without them expecting you while not having to crouch the whole time.

It would make crouching at the right time more viable, which makes it easier to play optimally without John's Medical File (much as I love that add-on). It also opens up Monitor and Abuse to become a 20m TR, which is actually pretty darned good with Piggy's small character profile…
Even without considering her crouch, 4 metres isn't chicken scratch, it's a whole second of survivor movement difference. Next time you play survivor run from a gen for 1 second… it's further than you think, and for Pig that is 0.86s seconds less reaction time for the survivor. Given this game is often a game of inches in reaching a pallet or not, or at the very least means 1 less extra loop a survivor can squeeze out, that 0.86s comes in more useful than you might think.
Also remember this is in all directions, so it gives you 8m of extra room to squeeze past/manouver around the map undetected.

But also effectively nerfs any perks that works off of terror radius too.
And recall that the Pig isn’t standing still for 4m, they’re just traversing 0.6m/s slower.
The person that pointed out whispers does have a good point on how to better understand when you should crouch without revealing you’re nearby.
But I still think that if you want a lower TR from the standard on Pig, slap it on an addon.

Ah fair point, I was more pointing out the scenario of not crouching at all, but to argue in full faith yes, for crouching it's not a huge difference.
Regarding TR related perks it does slightly affect Infectious Fright negatively, but it does slightly benefit Hex: Face the Darkness… and a lot of other TR based perks aren't good on Amanda, so I'd say a buff to Face the Darkness is strongest of her TR based perks.
The problem with making it an add-on is Amanda is already quite perk and addon reliant, and is fighting quite heavily between her add-on slots. She is always lackluster is some capacity no matter what add-on combo you take. If you leave out: -
- Workshop Grease/Last Will - your ambushes are slow and easily held W against.
- John's Medical File - your map traversal and mind games at pallets are less effective.
- Tampered Timer/Gears/Ruleset No.2 - Head traps lack lethality you can reliably create pressure upon.
- Video Tape - Very susceptible to throwing the game on a single bad early chase.
You do need your add-ons on Amanda to really tighten the screw, and if her reduced TR is an add-on, it's gonna be hard for it to fight for a place in amongst her other far more consistently necessary add-ons.

having 4m less TR wont do a thing it needs to be 24 like sadako and ambush needs to be lime wesker dash where she can vault over pallets and windows
0 -
Fair, though if survivors ran the moment they heard the TR then ironically a larger TR would be better, as incidental brushing of the TR against them while the Pig does other stuff would ultimately make them less effective.
Then choose the most thematically fitting addon of those (the at revolves around crouch and/or ambush) to tack on too.

Mmmhmmm, yeah thats a reasonable point. I suppose where I fall is 28m would be nice for my particular playstyle, but yeah there is argument the other way.
In the grand scheme is probably not gonna help you much against voice comms teams regardless no matter where we fall… :D
1 -
Against comms what’s more useful is the increased crouch speed coupled with her low profile to break line of sight moving across the map, not necessarily her TR, ye.
