Improvement Request for Quentin Smith and Freddy Krueger

Like many in the community, we've noticed that both characters have been neglected in terms of cosmetics and design since their introduction. Here are a few points that I think deserve attention:

  1. Lack of Cosmetics: Quentin has gone seven years without receiving any cosmetics, which is quite discouraging for players who enjoy his character. In comparison, other licensed characters, such as those in Resident Evil and Stranger Things, have been given multiple cosmetic options, creating a sense of inequality. This imbalance has led many to feel that Quentin has been relegated to oblivion.
  2. Design and Rendering: The depiction of Quentin and Freddy in the game has been a source of complaints since its release. Many fans are of the opinion that its design does not capture the essence of the characters as expected, and this has contributed to its lack of popularity. A visual redesign, especially with Freddy's upcoming rework in January, could be an excellent opportunity to modernize its appearance and make it more appealing to gamers.
  3. Opportunity with Freddy's Rework: With Freddy's rework approaching, I think it would be the perfect time to not only improve his gameplay, but also to introduce new cosmetics and skins for both characters. Not only would this revive interest in Freddy, but it could also make the community see Quentin in a new light.
  4. Themed Events and Lore: I suggest considering releasing a A Nightmare on Elm Street-themed event when the rework takes place. This could include challenges, exclusive rewards, and limited cosmetics that do justice to the franchise. Strengthening the lore and interactions between the characters in the game and the franchise could increase interest and excitement around these characters.

Thank you for your attention!

You can expect that nothing will happen to the visual design of the characters. It is completely up to the license holders if characters get Cosmetics and especially the license holders of A Nightmare on Elm Street are not really keen on giving their characters cosmetics. Which is the reason why never anything was released for Quentin or Freddy. The only thing which happend was a visual rework of Quentin, which actually made him look way better than his original design.

You can also be pretty sure that there will be no event. And IMO, outside of the license holders most likely not allowing it, there is not really a reason to do that, since other characters also did not get events when they were reworked.

Thank you for your comment! I understand that complications with licensees are a significant factor and may limit Behaviour's options for introducing cosmetics and events for Quentin and Freddy.

However, I think many in the community share an understandable frustration at seeing these characters have been neglected for so long, especially when other licensed characters have received more favorable attention.

While it may be true that A Nightmare on Elm Street licensees may not be interested, we can't lose hope that the community and continued support can influence future decisions.

We've also seen Behaviour make changes and events for other characters, proving that not everything is permanently fixed.

As already mentioned, this is up to the license holders and not BHVR. Also keep in mind that this chapter was added before the in-game cosmeric store and the number of cosmetics were never expexted to be this high. This is not ‚neglect‘ or ‚favoring other licenses‘ on BHVRs part

NoES license holder seem especially strict with their character portrayal - we can call ourselves lucky to have gotten the much needed Quentin Model update.

I don’t know if/how its possible, but reaching out to the license holder and not (only) BHVR would at this point be more logisal - it kinda worked with Stranger Things getting readded

Thank you for your answer! You're right to point out that licensing restrictions are a major factor and that Behaviour doesn't have full control over the decisions that are made in relation to characters.

I understand that this chapter was released before the introduction of the cosmetics store, and I appreciate that they have updated the Quentin model. However, many in the community are still disappointed by the lack of attention to these characters, especially when we see that others licensed have received more support.

The idea of contacting the licensee directly is interesting and could be a viable way to make our voices heard. If the community joins in this initiative, we may be able to generate enough interest for them to consider offering more cosmetics and content for Quentin and Freddy.

Remember that we've seen instances where the community has influenced past decisions, such as the reinstatement of Stranger Things, and that gives us hope that we can make a positive change for our favorite characters as well. Thank you for sharing your perspective!
