Survivor Bots Have Perfect Knowledge of Bear Trap Positions
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
I have been playing in Custom matches recently, messing around with add-ons and perk combinations for Trapper. Survivor Bots seem to know every location where I have placed my traps. At first, I thought it was because they could hear me placing the trap down, but I noticed in most chases that the bot would freeze for a second before selecting another loop. Almost as if they "saw" the trap even if said trap was on the other side of the window or pallet. Since the bots have perfect knowledge of placed bear traps the only thing you can do with them is create dead zones since the bots refuse to go anywhere near them unless there is an objective nearby. Stated objectives include totems, generators, and exit gate switches.
I will note that I have no idea if this bug affects Ranked Trials, "It probably does," since that would require a player to DC, but I do know that it affects both Survive with Bots and Kill the Bots Tutorials!
PLATFORM: PC
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
- Load into a custom match with Trapper or play the Kill the Bots Tutorial, "If you do a custom match indoor maps are a good way of recreating this bug."
- Place traps near pallets, windows, and generators, "It's even better if you place them at doorways or narrow corridors."
- Attempt to chase a bot to where you have placed the traps
- The bot may freeze for a second or two once it gets nearby to the trapped locations
- The bot will pick another loop if possible or just run to the edge of the map if no loops are nearby….

Yeah noticed this while doing some testing and had to create a trap by hooking one bot in the basement and blocking all exits with traps and waiting seeing distance. Another bot disarms a trap and goes down I go reset the trap and push them out and only then one of them would step on one. They 100% time manage to dodge the traps before that.
