Means to An End Challenge (Tome 6 Page 3) not unlocking

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:

The Means to an End Challenge is not unlocking. Upon resetting dropped pallets and then hitting the Killer with them, it should unlock the challenge but it is not. I've tried toggling the challenge on and off in case it needs to be reset as well as trying it across multiple matches, at least four, with no effect.

PLATFORM: Steam

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:

  1. Open Dead by Daylight
  2. Select a character using the perk 'Any Means Necessary'
  3. Ensure that the challenge 'Means to an end' (Tome 6 page 3) is selected, toggle if it already is.
  4. Enter a Match
  5. Drop Pallets / Find Pallets others have dropped
  6. Use Any Means Necessary to reset the Pallet
  7. Drop the Pallet on the killer
  8. Challenge should unlock, but is not.
  9. Confirm challenge not unlocked post-match

    i reported this bug in 29 of june same thing was in cold farm

    Me too. I reported this issue on Oct 16th. Staffs who helped me were friendly, they said will look into it.

    I tried many different ways but won't count:

    1. Take only Any means necessary and no ther perks
    2. Take power struggle, plot twist, unbreakable and any means necessary
    3. Hit the killer with a pallet, then reset the same pallet and hit again

    My guess the perk "any means necessary" was buffed during previous patch, essentially its cooldown has been removed. This might be want preventing players not be able to complete the challenge.

    Hopefully it could get solved in next few patchs. See you all in fog :)

    I reported this bug again today. Still bugged on PC/Steam as of 11/18/2024
