Chuckys camera stuck

Randomly while playing I was unable to rotate the camera more than say 45 degrees and was forced to walk backwards for most of the game.
Xbox, happened to a mate on PlayStation as well tho
For me it happened after I broke a pallet, for my mate it occurred when stunned in slice & dice.
