I think they're building up to it with the Prove Thyself update. Also the cause of genrushing being so big right now is because nobody heals anymore (SELF CARE NERF TO 32 SECONDS. HMMMM SOUNDS FAMILIAR?) So everyone just does gens asap. Especially if it's Nurse, Hag or Legion.

Until something is changed, isn't this just more reason to use Discordance? It's useful in a normal match but in a Prove Thyself match wouldn't it help to get rid of the problem? It could help this until things are changed.

When I first heard about it, I wondered how much of a problem ProveThyself was gonna be with the buff. I wonder what the plan is, like if there's gonna be a nerf to gens as a whole to encourage people to do them together to make up for it. Gens being done so fast isn't going to be fun for killers. The bonus BP while working on gens together is nice, though. Easier to get max BP for objectives that way.

Yeah, right. Survivors is where the developer's priority lies. They KNOW that there is an issue with generators getting done in a flash if the survivors decide to focus on their objectives instead of fooling around. They aren't solving any issues by making generators go FASTER..

Prove Thyself isn't going to affect gen rushing much because it relies on survivors grouping up to work, but it's much more efficient/strategic to split up and tackle separate gens simultaneously. This is mainly because it cuts down on travel time. If you have 3 survivors repairing (while one distracts the killer) and they're hitting gens one at a time, that means they're making 5 separate trips. Meanwhile, if they split up on the first 3, that's only one trip, plus one more to get to the 4th and 5th gen. The time saved from this is more than you'll save from Prove Thyself (about 6.66s per gen with 3 people). This also makes it much harder for the killer to pressure gens. Doing gens this way, Prove Thyself would only come into play on the last two gens, where it'd save you 6-7 seconds. That's nice and could help break a 3-gen, but I don't think it's game-breaking.

The Dev's seem to have a trend of doing the opposite of what the community asks. We ask for mending to be a healing action, they made snap out of it and wake up not healing actions. We ask for gens to be done slower, now they made them go faster. We ask for DS and Noed to be removed, now they made both of them better with hooks being farther apart for DS and made gens go faster so Noed would be used even more often.
I've never seen a Dev team go more against what their community wants.1 -
