Anyone else frustrated with this game on both sides?
I tried playing DBD today after a week break and I just found myself to be getting so frustrated playing killer and survivor. Had a few good games but my overall experience was not great.
I’m hoping maybe 2v8 will be a lot of fun because I sure enjoyed that.

As Killer, I'd only really get frustrated at my own mistakes. Anything goes, so however the Survivors play (charge the gens, play for memes, Head-on Heaven, etc) it's fine by me, so long as they are playing. I like the challenge.
Survivor is more frustrating as there's a chance I'll end up teaming with a wet-wipe who ends themself on hook or disconnects because they were forced to realise they were ######### at the game, and they can't handle that.
2v8 hopefully will be a nice change.

I feel like the Halloween event was a lot sweatier than normal from both sides, yes. After a fashion people realized the Void isn't that worth it for either side and just wasted time, and that since the other side was playing to win all the time they had to play to win, too or they wouldn't get much of anything out of the event. If BHVR wants events like these to be more than a sweatfest, they need to make interaction with the mechanics mandatory the way they do for modes - see Lights Out, 2v8, Chaos Shuffle, etc. All the changes for those modes are unavoidable, match-altering, and affect every player equally. Stuff that's a fun sidequest like the Void or Blood Zones in Blood Moon just do not do that.
Twisted Masquerade altered the trial as it went on with Tryks tricks. Haunted by Daylight didn't do stuff like that enough and in past events like older versions of some events, Blood Moon, and Scorching Summer BBQ, there were not enough new or game altering mechanics that did anything to force people to interact with it and slow the game down for both sides to breathe a little. It did the exact opposite actually.

Yeah. Constant sweats as killer, constant DCers as survivor. This is a failure of the MMR system.
