Help me understand how this current hidden MMR matchmaking makes sense?
Title. I came back to the game 2 weeks ago after a long break. Started playing in 2017. Made it to iridescent 1 pretty quickly, which I know, means absolutely nothing. As a survivor you get MMR only for escaping and that said MMR affects your matchmaking.
Now I'm not the best, but my looping and gen efficiency is far higher than most survivors in my lobby. Just today I ran around with Dracula chasing me for what felt like forever while the other survivors for the longest, did nothing after which they managed to get a few gens done.
I did one and a half gens, got chased again forever while the others finished the remaining gen, opened a door and just escaped while I went down near the opened gate about 10 seconds after the last of them left.
Now this wasn't a rant, I'm not mad. I just wanna play the damn game with people that are of similar skill as myself and apparently according to the devs, the only thing that matters is escaping and not the fact that you just literally helped 3 people escape.
Do you guys think this is the best way to handle the matchmaking for this game?
