Survivors should 99% a gen and stay by it until a killer comes (2v8)
By 99ing gens it means you avoid activating the 5% penalty on repairing other gens, allowing your teammates to complete them faster. If the killer shows up, you can simply finish the generator in their face and take the chase. If all survivors use this strategy, there's little the killers can do.
I guess it's almost impossible to coordinate in solo queue, but it doesn’t take much effort to understand that the longer you leave a generator at 99% without completing it, the more beneficial it is for your teammates.

Fun. I’ll try it 😄

So instead of working on another gen, they should wait around a 99% gen and do nothing until a killer comes? Sounds like eating the 5% would be more effective.

It's like Christmas!

Walking to another gen is better. It is risky though. It’s nice how in 1v4 99ing a gen tends to keep the Killer paranoid about that particular area.

If I see people are actually working on other gens, usually I'll try not to finish mine if I'm on it alone, as long as I know I don't need to leave it to get a save or the killer isn't close. It's nice to use the extra time to do a chest or something, but randoms seem to completely reject this idea. Almost every time, someone comes up and immediately finishes it.

Considering what I see from survivor pov a lot of the time you're expecting too much of the baby survs picking the class with urban evasion over the actually good ones.
2 -
all the classes are good this time around.
4 -
Yea I wouldn't say there are "bad" classes, but healer/guide are very strong compared to the rest.
2 -
Yeah but if the gen is not finished then the killer will come to check on it, and they will waste the time that they could have been using patrolling other gens with survivors on it

Depends on the killer duo i guess. If you got a Blight or a Billy you might as well finish it before people start droppping like flies.

You already have so many gen buffs in 2v8 you genuinely don't need to do this…
4 -
I mean — you could also just play normally and let the game balance itself in the spirit intended.

Maybe to new players. But people really are sleeping on the scout class. That class is by far the strongest class for decent survivors to play as. Rebuilding pallets is a really strong ability that all the killers struggle to play against, with the exception of nurse.

This. I'm just going to finish my gen and go find something else to do instead of hang out around a 99% gen. I also feel like doing this is just going to encourage killers to play more sweaty/rougher and I'd like to keep 2v8 relaxed and casual.

No team is good enough or coordinated to pull off what you're suggesting.
2 -
Just no , do 50 or 70 of gen look for another gen leave it for the killer as bait.if just hand ground that gen and it gets damage by the killer then they'll see you'er aura

Killers don't need excuses to play sweaty

Play with other 7 people

Neither do Survivors, apparently.

Sounds like a waste of time.

It´s a min max suggestion, honestly, I do not think is needed. Basically, glue your finger to the mouse button, win.
It is so survivor sided this time, that you really have to put some effort to lose.

Ah yes the class with Free Constant Aura reading for chase, rebuilding pallets for valuable loops, iron will to dodge spirit phase is for baby Survivors.
Meanwhile we got free prove thyself healing & Stackable auto 50% healing
Selfcare & Windows crutch perk
Prove thyself on steroids
Every single class is catered to low mmr survivors.

I actually think the version of WoO basekit added for Scout here is perfect and should be how REAL WoO works. Why do you need EVERY SINGLE RESOURCE highlighted? How does that help you improve? Make WoO operate like this, so people actually have to learn and plan instead of autopiloting to Yellow.
