Easy Anti-cheat keeps flagging a false positive

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: When booting up the game, Easy-Anti Cheat always has an initialization error flagging the dsound.dll found in C:/Windows/System32 as an untrusted file when i've never had this issue before.
I've done sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt but that doesn't work, the only fix i can find is deleting the Easy Anti-Cheat folder and then verifying the file integrity through steam to re-download the files again and that seems to work, sometimes just restarting my computer helps too but this problem only came up a few days ago.
PLATFORM: PC
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Occurs only when launching the game.
