I'm starting to believe some people DDoS when they're losing so the killer disconnects and they exit

Lately, I’ve been starting to believe that some players are actually doing DDoS attacks when they’re losing, just to make the killer disconnect so they can leave as if they won. Sometimes when the survivors are in a bad situation, about to be caught or clearly losing the match, I get the "dedicated server not responding" error, it always happens this way, at least to me, and it happens very randomly, with no prior lag or signs of connection issues, and I’m not sure if they’re DDoSing my IP or if they’re targeting the server itself.

It feels like some are trying to force the disconnection to avoid losing. It’s a pretty dirty way to "win" because even though you can't prove it 100%, every time it happens, it lines up with a moment when there’s no way out for the survivors. Has anyone else experienced this or suspected the same thing?
