As Killer I really have no way of knowing if this has been used or not, as I already get a "loud noise notification" from an unhook happening which makes any screaming that would occur difficult to hear, especially if I'm a ways away. With no indicator of who's on what hook state, I'm basically just guessing blindly.

Could there be a brief aura reveal or some other visual indicator that it's been used to differentiate?
