Should Totems keep progress?
With the ongoing war of Thrill of hunt being 46 secs to cleanse and interrupts ruining all progress should Devs change it so totem destruction progress is kept just like gates if so and if not Why?

If Ultimate Weapon didn't force it I don't think Thrill will, it'll just be dialed back a bit

I think it'd be fair to have totem progress regress, so that a scream perk can't negate totem-cleansing but chasing survivors off of totems still works.
I also think the gates should regress (to specific thresholds, not completely) but that's a different topic.

I don't think it's a good idea to make sweeping changes to account for a messed up value on one perk.
Thrill should just be nerfed.

Regress over time - optional\maybe.

Doesn't really make sense to nerf totems on global scale, when most of them are not really good.
Just revert the change and buff Thrill in any other way than just %.3 -
I don't think they should change how totems have worked since their introduction just because an overbuffed perk now exists. Nerf Thrill back to an acceptable level, and it'll be fine.
Your suggestion nerfs totems for killers and hex builds across the board and, if anything, makes Thrill even more necessary for builds that run hexes.

No. There is a German word for it - "verschlimmbessern" - which means that you try to make things better, but you make them worse instead.
This would be one of those changes. Totems dont need to have their progress saved, because before this Patch it was never a problem that they did not save progress. And it would certainly be bad for players who dont run Thrill of the Hunt.
The problem is the change they did to Thrill of the Hunt. This should be dealt with. Not adding other things to make the Perk semi-bearable.

This i do think would fair compromise for both sides so progress isnt instantly deleted nor immediately destroyed

But then thrill just becomes useless again. Better to change the mechanic as a whole, and fix the one part of it that is problematic, and now we have another viable perk and build that isn't just the same 4 slowdown perks every single game.
Or do you like running into pain res, dms, deadlock every game?

Then Thrill just becomes mandatory and running hex's without it is basically pointless as they'll be cleansed easier than ever.

Also to put it simply - if totems are now keeping the progress, then killers will need a way or option to regress this progress.
Ever dreamed about "kicking" the totems same as gens? Totem-kicking perks anyone? Sounds pretty goofy to me.

And that is any different then undying is now? If you run a hex build either you take undying, or you are running hexes like plaything/pentimento. What it does is unlock a potential build the might be viable if they just took out the part of it that is super problematic, which is the quick interrupts with things like screams.

I'm not saying hexes can't be buffed in a different way, but balancing ALL hexes around the idea of Thrill being in play is the same problem as balancing Thrill around the idea of Counterforce being in play. It just makes perks mandatory.
Hexes shouldn't -need- Thrill, and Thrill shouldn't make them broken.

They could also remove the unnecessary cleanse debuff to calm spirit, a perk you tend not to see even though I have it as base kit lol.
As much as I love and rather harden, spending time to do a totem and a chest is too much time wasting.

That's fine so long as Dominance isn't busted. Buffing Dominance to be as busted as TotH currently is would just perpetuate the problem.
