About Taurie Cain and her menu music + her hair (Lowlight and Dark Side)
Hello everyone,
I wanted to share my thoughts on the new Survivor, Taurie Cain, and provide a bit of critique—which might come across as nitpicking on a high level.
First of all, I want to praise the design and backstory. I find it incredibly interesting to have received a Survivor who, for a change, has a connection to the Entity and might even understand what kind of power this being possesses. I also think the connection to existing Survivors is really cool. There’s a link between her and Haddie, similar to the one between Mikaela and Sable. While the latter are friends, Haddie and Taurie are more like enemies. Overall, it’s very well done (maybe my next Prestige 100 Survivor! :)).
However, I’d like to bring up the menu music. This is different from the version in the PTB (Public Test Build). The PTB music included a choir that added a creepy and fitting atmosphere to the overall theme. On the live servers, however, this choir was removed from the menu music, which I just can’t understand. What was the reason for the decision to remove the choir? Was it even intentional? It makes me a bit sad that it was taken out, as it now feels like it’s missing that "certain something."
Another point of critique is Taurie’s hair—specifically the Lowlight and Dark Side options. On the back of her head, slightly to the right, the hair density is lacking, so when the light hits it, you can see her scalp. That doesn’t look great. :(
These are just small details, but I wanted to mention them nonetheless. Overall, I’m very happy with this chapter. I do want to ask at the end, though—are there any plans to address or rework these points in the future?
Otherwise, as always, great work! :)
