Killer Power: Soul Steal

The ability to charge a heavy special attack which activates the survivor's bleed-out timer. The bleed-out timer determines how much time will be removed from the total bleed-out meter. While charging your special attack, movement speed and lunge distance is reduced, but is faster than survivors. The time to charge your power takes 3 seconds. The bleed-out timer is paused while in chase but resumes afterwards. Your power goes on cooldown for 5 seconds after use and has the same recovery time as a successful / unsuccessful basic attack respectively.

Using your power on a healthy survivor will injure them and trigger their bleed-out timer for 12 seconds, or until they reach 25% of healing progress. If the healing progress drops below 25% within these 12 seconds, the bleed-out meter will continue to deplete until those 12 seconds are up.

Using your power on an injured survivor applies the deep wound status effect on top of triggering the bleed-out timer for another 24 seconds, or until they finish mending by any means.

Using your power on a survivor afflicted with deep wound will put them in the dying state.

Successfully using your power on a survivor with an active bleed-out timer will immediately subtract the appropriate amount of time from their total bleed-out meter, even while in chase. This effect cannot be triggered by basic attacks, nor when survivors are already in the dying state. For example, after the same survivor is hit 3 times with your special attack (within the same chase) their total bleed-out meter will lose 36 seconds, and they will be placed in the dying state.

Special State: Rage Mode: After successfully landing 1 special attack, your rage meter gains 1 stack. Successful basic attacks remove 1 rage stack. After gaining the maximum of 4 stacks, you become enraged for 30 seconds; once those 30 seconds are up, you lose all of your stacks. While enraged, all survivors become exposed. Putting any survivor in the dying state while enraged ends the enraged mode and resets your rage stacks.

*Note: the bleed-out meter lasts a total of 4 minutes*

Potential Addons:

[ ] Reduces the maximum number of rage stacks required to become enraged by 1

[ ] Increases the duration of enraged by 20 seconds

[ ] Becoming enraged causes the furthest healthy survivor to scream and reveal their position for 6 seconds. If all survivors are injured, all survivor's auras are revealed for 4 seconds.

[ ] Increases mend time by 4 seconds

[ ] Becoming enraged causes all survivors to become oblivious for 20 seconds

[ ] Increases the rate at which the bleed-out timer depletes by 40% (only applies to special attacks)

[ ] Your special attacks gain a 15% cooldown reduction per rage stack.

[ ] Gain 10% haste for 10 seconds after becoming enraged

[ ] Special attacks inflict mangled for 30 seconds

[ ] Special attacks inflict hemorrhage for 30 seconds

[ ] Special attacks cause injured survivors to drop their items, you see their auras in white.

[ ] Your special attacks gain an 20% recovery reduction per rage stack.

[ ] Reduces the time to fully charge your special attack by 50%

[ ] Increases the rate at which the bleed-out timer depletes by 20% (only applies to special attacks)

[ ] Increases special attack lunge distance by 50%

[ ] Increases movement speed while charging your power by 5%

[ ] Successful special attacks inflict blindness for 30 seconds

[ ] You no longer gain rage stacks from special attacks; special attack lunge distance, special attack lunge speed, and special attack cooldown time is tripled.

I would love to hear some feedback on this type of power, especially since most people hate slugging. Above all, does this power sound fun and fair?

it sounds like a killer that would indirect pseudo mori players. similar to 2.0 sadako, the amount of life that survivor would have would not be off condemn curse stacks but would directly be related to survivor's bleed out timer.

I particularly like the exposed aspect part of the ability where you earn expose hits by being successful with special ability. my only critic is that the power might need some map traversal in its ability. Looking at Oni and Twins, both of those killer have some faster movement speed and mobility in their kit so that they can more easily bounce from survivor to survivor. Maybe the Soul reaper can turn into Phantom ghost where you cannot attack, see survivors and you move faster(130% m/s), survivors that you attacked leave orbs on the floor in the Ghost world. you can teleport to the orbs and each time you pick up an orb, you gain a stack of rage. When the orb is picked up, the reaper exits the ghost world and ghost's world ability goes on cooldown. Say 25 seconds. there is say a max of 20 orbs in floor.

So as you hit & run people with special attack, you gain map mobility as the trial progresses. The ghost world would work similar to spirit phase-walk but it would have an unlimited duration.

The idea is cool but any time BVHR invents some slugging type killer, they put weird drawbacks on the killer…. like Victor being kidnap for 30 seconds or Oni loses -8 seconds of his power gauge every time he downs someone making the killer less fun :(

Yeah… At the end of the day, this would be a slugging type killer, which I know many people will dislike.

And I agree, the lack of a map traversal ability would make this killer difficult to land his power and apply pressure. I was thinking maybe the addon which triples special attack lunge distance, speed, and cooldown could become basekit. Or maybe you could simply gain 10% haste while enraged as basekit.

I'm sure there's other options but I just didn't want this character to become too similar to existing killers. Honestly, I feel like a similar bleed-out mechanic could be implemented into the Legion's power but I doubt the devs would want to rework him again. Even some of the Soul Reaper's addon ideas were inspired by the Legion's existing addons.
