What do you think of this idea
Went to some comment section to see some interesting opinions what do yall think about this?

I don't think this is needed.
It is okay to have a chance of escaping. In fact I don't think any perks should deactivate after the gates are powered.
And yes, I know people will mention DS. But players didn't get hit by unexpected decisive strikes during the end game, they knew tunneling always comes with its risks.

I mean, “zero counterplay” is also true the other way round without the Endurance effect.
If the killer is well-positioned and the hook wasn’t right next to the gate, that survivor is dead.

You might as well just delete basekit BT if you're going to do this. You would basically be guaranteed to die if you got hooked in the end game except in the very unlikely situation that your teammate brought the perk. This basically just gives the killer a free kill that the survivor has no counterplay for. Survivors USED to have at least some counterplay to this because they could bring DS. The problem is people whined and now it doesn't work in the end game. I feel like basekit BT is a pandora's box that can't be closed at this point. What do solo survivors do when they just deleted because their teammate didn't bring BT? Doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me.

0 counterplay implies that the rest of the game didn't happen. It's not like survivors are guaranteed endgame or have the ability to force the killer into where they are hooked.
Whenever this comes up my thought is: should survivors have some counterplay in the last instant before the killer hooks them? Some little mini game to give themselves a last chance? No, to say there is no counterplay ignores everything else that happened up to that point.

i have mixed feelings about this change.
i think a shorter duration for endurance when exit gates are powered would be more suitable, as i don't exactly feel comfortable with the idea of a 100% secured kill just because the gates are on. the survivors should have an incentive to play more carefully since late game involves more risk.completely removing the option for the survivors to be able to get one more person out would simply pressure people to leave those behind who are hooked since they'd just die anyway.

I don't like it personally. There has to be some little hope of escape or nobody will come to the rescue. Also, those are the best moments of any game for me as both Survivor and Killer.
I need that adrenaline rush. Wondering if I'll make it out by the skin of my teeth or camping my final victim wondering if the cavalry is going to attempt a daring rescue attempt.

BT shouldn't be basekit use to be one his main talking points.

No, that's a terrible idea. It would go directly against why it was added at all by just making the actual BT perk mandatory again for endgame saves. There's a reason why it was implemented.

It has counter play on 2 killers base kit ATM. Slinger and Houndmaster can circumvent BT with power. Trapper could count as a 3rd if they run in to a trap but that's an if.

I think more killers counter it honestly

“You would basically be guaranteed to die if you got hooked in the end game except in the very unlikely situation that your teammate brought the perk”
Yep because back then killers used to hit the person unhooked immediately. It was really awful back then

How about we just deactivate all perks when the gates are powered? How about all survivors automatically die when the gates are powered? Will that make you happy? Let me guess, you're the type of person to tunnel someone and get hit with ds and complain that there's no counterplay

Is it really “tunneling” if it’s the end game? What else should the killer do?
