Homelander – The Patriot

Main Power: Laser Eyes
Homelander channels the power of his laser eyes to damage Survivors and manipulate the environment.

Laser Preparation:

  • Hold the ability button to charge the laser, taking 0.9 seconds.
  • Cancelling the charge takes 0.8 seconds.

During Laser Use:

  • Homelander moves at 4.2 m/s while charging, cancelling, or using the laser.
  • The laser can be used for up to 5 seconds and can be cancelled at any time.
  • Camera sensitivity is slightly reduced during laser use.

Laser Effects:

On Survivors:

  • Hitting a Survivor with the laser fills a laceration meter.
  • To inflict a full hit, the laser must contact the Survivor for 1.5 seconds.
  • If the laser loses contact, the laceration meter slowly depletes: 4 seconds to lose 0.15 seconds of accumulated laceration.
  • After a successful hit, the Survivor is immune to the laser for 1.5 seconds.
  • The laser can hit multiple Survivors, but one can body-block to protect another.

On the Environment:

  • The laser pierces narrow areas, similar to Deathslinger’s shot.
  • Laser range: 10 meters.
  • Aiming at dropped pallets destroys them in 2 seconds.

Recharge:

  • Base recharge time: 18 seconds.
  • Destroying a pallet reduces the recharge time to 16 seconds.

Penalties:

  • After a successful hit with the laser, Homelander’s vision is impaired for 2 seconds, similar to being blinded.

Secondary Power: The Patriot
Homelander can fly to chase Survivors and bypass obstacles.

Flight Preparation:

  • Hold the ability button to charge flight, taking 1.5 seconds.
  • Cancelling the charge takes 0.5 seconds.

During Flight:

  • Homelander flies at 10 m/s, ignoring pallets and windows.
  • Entering a chase reduces flight speed to 8 m/s.
  • Flight lasts 6.5 seconds and can be cancelled prematurely.

Survivor Collisions:

  • Colliding with a Survivor automatically grabs them, allowing Homelander to throw them 8 meters in a straight line.
  • Collision Effects:
    • If the Survivor hits an obstacle, they take damage and are incapacitated for 1 second, then gain the post-hit speed boost.
    • If they hit nothing, they fall to the ground, take 1 second to recover, and do not gain the speed boost.

Penalties for Homelander:

  • After a successful collision: moves at 2 m/s for 2.5 seconds.
  • After a failed collision: moves at 3 m/s for 2.5 seconds.
  • Recharge: 24 seconds.

Passive Ability: God’s Sense
Every 45 seconds, Homelander can hear the heartbeats of Survivors within a 24-meter radius for 15 seconds.

  • During this time, all Survivor action sounds are audible from an additional 8 meters and are 50% louder.
  • After the effect ends, the cooldown reduces to 30 seconds.

Special Item: V24
Four Vought boxes spawn on the map. Each Survivor can pick up and use V24 only once per match. Activation causes Exhaustion and Blindness for 40 seconds after the effect ends.

Activation:

  • Takes 1.5 seconds to use V24.
  • After the gates are powered, activation takes 3 seconds, and the effect lasts only 20 seconds.

V24 Variants:

  • Blue: Increases movement speed by 30% during the effect.
  • Transparent: Makes the Survivor invisible to the Killer and other Survivors but still audible and hittable.
  • Red: Grants super strength, increasing Killer stun duration by +3 seconds and making vaulting 30% faster.
  • Green: Automatically heals one health state over time, similar to the Anti-Hemorrhagic Syringe.
  • Effects last 30 seconds (except green, which lasts 20 seconds).
