Can Killers Reactivate HEX: Pentimento?

I ran this perk as Chucky and downed an injured Kate who I could hear destroying a Dull Totem just before I knocked her down on Eerie of Crows map.

I lit the Totem instantly while she was slugged so I'm guessing she saw me obviously. (I got too excited!)

Shortly after she was hooked and unhooked, the Totem was destroyed because I heard the thunder clap but I didn't see the white aura again and had to focus on hooking people rather than testing the perk.

Could I have just lit it up over and over again if the Survivors keep breaking it?

    No - Pentimento can only activate once per cleansed totem (so a max of 5). If a survivor cleanses your Pentimento, you have to activate it on a separate cleansed totem.
