Dbd needs BattlEye+EAC

The amount of cheaters and hackers I've encountered in game proves that standalone eac is useless because its easily bypassed

I just encountered a Claudette jumping and flying and no clipping and a Trickster with Aimbot who instantly downed all 4 survivors through walls and a spirit who instantly downed and hooked all 4 survivors straight away proves that eac by itself isn't working that great

I think its time to get battle eye alongside eac and for better over lay detection for ESPs etc

It's a neverending arms race, because hacking is a multi-million dollar industry. Even Esport titles…60-100 bucks a month can get you a comprehensive suite of tools.

All that can be done is banning where possible. It sucks. That said, compared to what it was like even a year ago, it's way better now.

I know that but the fact that the game cant detect if a spirit is automatically teleporting to survivors and downing them is not good same with the fact each cant detect it also and the fact that aimbot is possible too same with esps on PC(Windows) and its laughable how the game cant detect if a survivor or killer is flying or moving faster than usual etc

Those blatant hacks are 100% detected. But bans happen in waves so the designers of the hack don't know it's detected and a larger number of hackers can effectively be banned.

There are a lot of hackers because any hacker can essentially apply an overlay to your game through malware or faulty WiFi. Some have even impersonated other streamers/casual players by using their names and getting the innocent player banned instead. I know this because I am a victim of ingame overlay through something called a decisive traversal exploit. So make sure you have a good firewall. Im still repairing and setting precautions for my pc even after a month of me "not playing the game." Stay safe in the fog everyone.

The one thing I will never understand is how a cheating survivor can cross a map instantly and go out of bounds and the anti cheat doesn't see this as being suspicious. It is probably more problematic with killers that can cross maps like Dredge or Unknown etc but the actions some cheaters take are so outside of normal game play it amazes me they don't get kicked.

That being said, I was impressed with how quickly BHVR acted on the last cheater I reported, it was the next day when I logged in and got a notification they took action and it was the only report I have done for a long time so it must have been the cheater.

Killers can grab and teleport you into the basement at the start of the game. They could probably also grab you and teleport you out of the map if they wanted to. If anyone who goes out of bounds gets auto-banned then you just added a tool that can be abused to get everyone you want permabanned.

You are right with your points. In DBD, cheat protection is virtually non-existent.

I always have to smile when something about poor race etc. is written, because you notice that there is a huge lack of real knowledge.

The game does not yet have basic server validation. Unfortunately, when you hear the term, many people mentally disengage, which is okay, you can't know everything.

With a little server validation, problems such as "instant kill bots", which trap survivors in the basement and hang them up within the first few minutes, or absolutely unrealistic positions (flying character) and impossible movement speed could be fixed. But it doesn't exist, period.

The reporting process is a fully manual process. Video/photo evidence is required where it is clear that the player has cheated and is required to obtain a possible ban.

Subtle cheaters are becoming more and more common for self-explanatory reasons.
That's the status in 2024, unfortunately that's how it is.
