SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Anytime trying to access friend list, join a friend, or they try to join me I get the error
"Server connection error: Some social features may be unavailable."When I restart my PC or game and I am quick enough, I am able to join a friend and ready up. I manage to play a full match. However after the match I am kicked from lobby and then unable to access friends list or join match's to anyone on my friends list. They are unable to join me. I am however, still able to join public matches.
In the short time I am able to join a lobby with a friend, If we do not "ready up", I am kicked from the friends lobby after a minute.
PLATFORM: PC Steam
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
1.Turn on computer
2. Open Steam
3. Click on Library
4. Click on DbD
5. Click "Play"
6. Wait for DbD to open
7. Get to Title Screen
8. Click on "Play" or "Play Event" (does not matter both have the issue)
9. Click on "Survivor"
10. Get into Prelobby
11. Click on "+" plus sign next to character to invite a friend or "Friends" at bottom left of screen.
12. Error message " Connection Lost: Server Connection Error: Some social features may be unavailable."
13. Click "ok"
14. Click on any person on friend list.
15. Click "Join Lobby" or "Invite to Party"
16. Error message " Connection Lost: Server Connection Error: Some social features may be unavailable."
This issue was addressed back in February by another user and has not been updated since. So here is a detailed description on what exactly is going on.
