Tunneling
Should it be possible to disconnect from a match without penalty if you are being tunnelled as soon as the match starts?
Also if someone DC's there should be an option to instantly end the match

being able to disconnect freely when some one disconnects, sure
but disconnecting freely just because the killer tunnels? yeah nah5 -
The killer chasing is you is simply part of the game. Being allowed to DC for free, because the killer decided to chase you is such a weird ask

Feels like a troll…. Hmmm.

Better solution will be nerfing tunnelling. They should make DS basekit after both hook states. And if killer leaves you on ground, time will stop.
Tunnelling should not be free and that's easy.

The community can’t even agree on what defines tunnelling, let alone the game.

So infinite bodyblocks? Sure, do you want fullstacked mettle of man as an little extra too? then you can't only delay downs by minutes but by matches lol.
That's absolutely impossible to implement like this or you'd never see a single killer in this game again, especially not people playing without tunneling and camping because they are even more punished by that, than people playing with it xD

While this is an interesting idea, the problem would then shift from tunneling to slugging after second hook.
Honestly I think we just need to move away from hooks and use cages from the 2v8 event. You can still get tunneled out but at least you get a little bit more of a fighting chance with the cages.

Maybe instead of DS, make unhooked survivor lose colision for a minute? Until they sit on gen or heal themself, they will be immune to tunnelling for a minute. They can't be tunnelled easily but they can't use it as weapon too.

Probably should just give Survivors permanent intangibility after being unhooked until they do a rushed action or an action that progresses the game. Maybe give aura reading on the unhooker for 3 seconds.

“Should it be possible to disconnect from a match without penalty if you are being eliminated from an elimination game?”
Lol. Lmao, even

I think a small period of intangibility and invisibility with the survivor being unable to see the killer or totems would be good. That way they can have a chance to get away without being able to use the time to scout or report on the killer.
1 -
That sounds more realistic, but we'd have to test it first as well as balance around that then. With the current way of balancing it would probably take to long to get a kill before you lost basically, but that's why I said test it first.

Tunneling is not an unfair or bannable offense so I'm gonna say no to the whole DC thing.
3 -
No! We got enough quitters in solo q already. While i agree tunneling is extremely unbalance to go against in solo q u shouldn't be able to just grief teammates by leaving. This is going to sound harsh.... if you're that weak willed then don't play.

It is not realistically feasible to design a system to detect tunneling to allow a survivor to DC without penalty. If you are being tunneled you can leave by attempting on hook, devs have said this is OK and not punishable.
A better solution is something like what is being proposed by others (intangibility) that makes tunneling harder or impossible while also preventing the survivor from abusing it to protect their unhooker. And then other adjustments to the game might need to follow for the weaker killers who would have a hard time dealing with this.

For me to take this idea seriously, I'm going to need you to explain what will be put into place to keep survivors from using this offensvively to help their teammates

I’ve previously proposed a shared hook state pool that would only take 12 hooks to kill all four survivors if the killer spreads out the hooks, but would take 17 hooks on a single person to tunnel them out. I think a period of intangibility after being unhooked would be fair too, as long as it has the conspicuous action restriction.

I would go as far as to add a version of the Incapacitated effect as well, so that no one can use the Intangible to go for a save.

Good call, agreed

While I like the idea behind this, unfortunately I think it's way too far for the devs.
Keep in mind that 5 seconds of DS was too much, even with conspicuous actions and disabling in end game, and they walked it back to 4s instead. I genuinely don't think they want to do anything meaningful to fix this issue, especially since there are a disturbing number of players who appear to really believe that "tunneling is the only way to play their game".

It's definitely overpowered when compared to what it takes to successfully counter it. When people post their statistics on Reddit the kill rate always sky rockets to over 80% when the killer tunnels. I would LOVE to see official statistics of what the kill rate is when the killer tunnels. I get the feeling the number wouldn't be far off.

this has to be ragebait

Are you actually genuinely saying that the definition of tunneling at the start of a game is: "Being the first one to be chased?"
Because that's what it sounds like…and it's just simply wrong and stupid.0 -
I already did , removing colision will be better solution. Anti-tunnelling should help survivors, it should not be weapon.

bait used to be believable

Personally, i say no to free DC because it's too difficult to determine intent. Maybe you were just the first survivor the killer happened to run into after an unhook? Also would be abusable by folks when they're going against their least favourite killer.
You have the option to just let the killer down you anyway. I come across plenty of team mates who aren't in the mood to be tunnelled off the bat and will just stop and let the killer down them so they can just move onto a (hopefully) better match. Honestly, I get it. Sometimes I don't care if I'm tunnelled and I'll humour the killer, but other times I just cbf. The latter is usually when you just want to get a Tome challenge or daily over and done with and you realize it's not happening lol
