How does Pain Res work on survivors?

So from what I know if we scream, the killer doesn't see a visual cue, but when the surv getss hooked, and we still hold the gen, we scream and seemingly bust the gen; like as if we miss a skill check (cause if we werent touching the gen, it'll just show a simple fizzle), does that busting notify the killer with a visual cue?

also another question, it will only regress the gen 20% regardless of how many people are on gen and whether or not we helf the gen when the survivor gets hooked, right?

    wont notice as a killer and i think it takes the one with most progress

    1. Pain res won't notify the killer which gen got blown up even if survivors are on it. They'll hear the scream - but that's it.
    2. It targets the highest progressed unblocked generator regardless of how many survivors are on it.
