Remember Me current design still encourages the killer to tunnel the obsession, a suggestion to change this and make a healthier and still useful perk is make the obsession also be affected, but in return reduce a little the time to open the gate.

I think removing the obsession part entirely is the solution. Everything else can stay the same if they want.
