New cosmetic bar. Is the Junji Ito collab a letdown?
Cosmetics have become better and better with time, that can't be denied. However, lately we've had a little bit of a letdown regarding this. At first the legendary skins provided substantial changes to the appearance of characters, sometimes even giving them new voicelines and sounds. Then we looked at DBD mobile, where skins started comming with their own special moris. Then that made its way to the main game with Naughty Bear, for instance, having a mori of his own. Some other killers soon followed, such as Were-Elk huntress and True Form Dracula.
With the new bar being set, we get Ultimate Houndmaster, no special mori but the power changes its appearance. And then we get to the Junju Ito collection, with legendary skins that look good but appart from that don't bring anything new but looks and sounds. No power image changed, no special moris.
Perhaps it's just me, but I really expected something more from the collaboration. I don't say it isn't good, I just say that it could be better.
And by the way, seeing how Freddy has received some attention lately, I still hope that a Robert Englund skin may end up comming to the game someday.

The new Junji Ito cosmetics fit the Legendary quotas, being different characters with unique sounds and animations.
The ones you are talking about (Were-Elk, Naughty Bear, True Form) are Visceral. This is a newer sub-rarity that also includes a unique mori.
Ultimate Houndmaster is overpriced and doesn't fit the Visceral or Legendary checkboxes. It should be Ultra Rare.
