Will survivors abusing mechanics ever going to get fixed?
The basekit BT endurance, off the record and decisive strike are there to fight against tunneling right? Then why do survivors use it to bodyblock other survivors or waste time? It is too often when a survivor gets unhooked and then going straight for the survivor that is getting chased.
I thought these mechanics and perks were set in place to fight against tunneling but it's pretty much being used as an advantage in the game so I think it didn't solve anything other than to make decent or SWF teams stronger.

My issue is I think endurance needs a limit. It's smart to allow body blocking with endurance as that is tactical. It's not smart to give people free endurance for nothing especially without alerting the other side to it so they can plan a backup.
Honestly? Show everyone's perks to everyone. The Killer has these, the Survivor's got these, but you are locked into the perks, items, and offerings you have. Plan around this. Now it becomes like a chess game where you have to play with what you have and work around it. You get a short 20 second countdown to use the bathroom or get ready before a round in the lobby and study who has what. No more nasty surprises because the community apparently can't handle it.
When everyone has all the information to make an informed plan and understand what will happen? You can change tactics and have a cat and mouse game.
Oh, and no more dodging lobbies. You have a random Baby Meg? Deal with it. You see a toolbox genrush squad? Deal with it. Work with what you have, because now everyone knows what you have and you know what they have.
No showing who the Killer is though, that's too detrimental to stealth Killers who need the element of some surprise.
EDIT: Some people can't read sarcasm, and it shows.Post edited by LockerLurk at0 -
Killer should never be able to see survivor perks and vice versa pregame.
Now UB/DS/etc is mandatory as if killer sees someone without it you can slug or tunnel them for free. You can 100% counter deli, always interrupt invocations in basement. And any niche or fun perk on either side is now no longer a surprise - you mention that knowing the stealth killer would be unfair, this is similar. Good luck getting red herring value when the killer knows you have it, or fooling a survivor with) dragon’s grip.

Well that's incorrect. The primary purpose is to deal with tunneling, but that doesn't mean they are the only way they can be used. If the only way they can be used was if the killer played a certain way, they'd need to be a lot stronger.
This would be like saying killer gen regression should only work if the survivors are gen rushing.

Kinda like its not smart to give Killers free aura reading just because they fail at tracking survivors?

There's no rulebook that says they can't use their endurance to the benefit of a team mate. People always emphasise that survivors should play as a team as opposed to just for themselves, and well, bodyblocking for a team mate falls under teamwork. The killer is also free to do as they like once the survivor has used up their endurance in such a manner. Most altruistic survivors understand this.

Aura reading was not part of this conversation whatsoever. Please quote where I brought it up in my post.

… Nah, you know?
I don't think I will, friend. :)
Because like it or not, however bad it is, it WOULD make people shut up about perks, wouldn't it, if everyone could see perks. Of course it's a dumb idea, I know it's a dumb idea.
And you fell right into the obvious sarcasm trap.0
