The game has good cross-progression, but isn't xbox play anywhere.
Xbox Play Anywhere is Microsoft's system for sharing games that one has purchased between PC and console. Games need to apply to it on their own to join it. I can understand why it has been avoided in the past, since the lack of cross-progression would have complicated it all, but now that we have cross-progression, why is it not implemented for dbd?
Those with Xbox game pass are rewarded by receiving access to the game on both Xbox and pc, but those who went out of their way to buy the actual game and support behavior are now shoehorned into purchasing the game twice if they want to play on their pc without game pass. The cross-progression already works just fine between Xbox and the Xbox PC app. As a player and consumer for 7 years, it feels unfair to dedicated players and disincentivizes me from buying more auric cells or even continuing to play the game at all. Imo, dbd ought to join the xbox play anywhere program.
