Are any Required Secondary Survivor Objective and or Killer Anti Tunnel Machanics in the works?

Is there any plans right now for these ongoing issues? They're making the game unfun on both sides often, theres got to be a way for tunneling to be decentivised while generators can't be done absurdly fast.

Maybe revisit Gasoline or make brand new parts a basekit feature that would stop a gen from progressing after a certain point and upon installing a found part would make the gen never fall under a certain percentage.

For tunneling, make the eye of vecna special magic item basekit for unhooked survivors. Its not hard for a killer to hook a survivor around no resources, which means the basekit borrowed time gets waited out almost all the time, if survivors are invisible, silent and have no collision for 10 seconds, tunneling becomes alot harder since your essentially forced to go for the unhooker. This safety bonus is lost whenever you perform an action or someone performs an action on you. So when the killer isn't tunneling and you want to heal under the hook.

Really Imaginative machanics that briefly came to my mind that i know alot of people would appreciate at least testing out. Which i guess cpuld lead into my next question abt discontinuing ptb's and making them an event queue on the actual game. if thats possible, everyone can test out new content and alot more opinions and data cam be gathered about a new character and their bugs or busted features.

As someone who is going into game design, I hope to work for BHVR one day and actually help make the game alot more fair for everyone. Speaking from over ten thousand hours over the course of 5 years,from mobile to the main game, I've always had a passion to help make this game one of the most popular in the world, which it already is, but i think it can rival games in other genres its actually quite fun and theres a skill ceiling that stops insanely sweaty matches from happening like with fortnite or any fps game.

This was a yap session, but i would love to hear abt any plans for game balance at the moment. Thank you

    You are so correct about making PTB's the event queue. Last night, I was thinking about how protective Scott Cawthon is of his IP and how BHVR could possibly convince him to run Springtrap through a PTB and show the new chapter in an unfinished state. FNAF coming to Dead by Daylight is the game's biggest chapter. I genuinely think there should NOT be a PTB for FNAF.

    I watched Scott Jund's video abt why ptb's should be retired and it actually makes alot of sense if BHVR has the resources to make new content instantly available upon live release for much faster testing and data collection. Maybe then broken/weak killers or bad perks wouldn't exist with so many more opinions

    I think the DBD developers did the right thing by introducing bots to PTBs—but that is a temporary stopgap solution in search of something permanent. I know deep in my heart it will be an uphill battle to convince someone at BHVR that they need to push out additional updates in their release cycle—as PTBs require a forced update—but PTB bots are not going to give quality data. The thought that future balance decisions will be based on statistics from matches with mostly CPU players … does not seem correct. My opinion is that the business value gained by having real players actually test PTBs as an event would justify the update trouble. If there is not enough players, more opportunities to play should be the solution — not filling the game with bots. That scares people.
