Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Xbox Series S Fuzzy and Blurry Low Quality Resolution

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Ever since the 8.5.0 patch came out to live servers two months ago, The resolution and graphics quality in the game are blurry, fuzzy and low quality on Xbox Series S consoles (apparently affects multiple consoles but not sure which ones specifically.) This resolution bug has happened before when the 7.7.0 patch (unreal engine 5 update) came out, but then it got fixed. Now the bug is back after the 8.5.0 patch went live, and it's still affecting the most recent 8.5.2 patch. Turning the post processing FSR setting on and putting it at 100% helps the issue somewhat but it's still noticable regardless of if the setting is turned on or off. Even more noticeable if it's turned off.

Killer and survivors' faces in the lobby/ in game store will be all fuzzy, their eyes will be pretty much impossible to see clearly cause of how fuzzy the screen looks. Auras from perks and add-ons will be hard to see from a distance, especially if they're small auras like First Aid Sprays on the ground and such, and effects like clowns afterpiece tonic and antidote bottles, fire effects, The Plague's smoke effects from her weapon, bone chill event weapons, etc. will all be low quality and fuzzy looking. The game isn't unplayable but it still puts some strain on the eyes.

It's worse quality and more noticeable while in the lobby, while in the in game store, while having the post processing, FSR super sampling setting toggled off, and while in the loading screen when starting up the game, but it's definitely affecting in-game/in the trial visuals and effects too.

PLATFORM: Xbox Series S

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Just boot the game up on an Xbox Series S console (apparently this bug effects multiple consoles and not just xbox, though I'm not sure specifically which ones they are) and the resolution will be noticably lower quality than normal. This seems to be the same resolution bug as the one that happened when the 7.7.0 patch went live, before it got fixed later on. Now it's back.

These two images are from Xbox Series S, with post processing on (first image) and off (second image) at 4k resolution after the 8.5.0 update went live two months ago. This low quality screen/resolution bug is still affecting the latest patch, 8.5.2, on certain consoles.
