Does DBD Party Ban?

Member Posts: 227

Just faced a cheater group one used cheats unhookable, speed hacks and insta heals and the others were in on it. So my question is do devs ban the people included in the party?

Cause if not they really need to like every other game does

How do you determine whether others are "in on it"? — Which I understand as them loading into the match knowing what is going to happen and with that knowledge decide to willingly participate in it. What do you expect survivors to do upon realising there is a cheater in the match when they were, when loading into the match, not aware another survivor was going to cheat?

I've only been part of a group where one (I think) person was applying cheats to the whole team one time, and I tried to sandbag the player and reported them. I suppose noobs might not recognize that they're playing with an unfair advantage, but any experienced player should. And if so, they shouldn't just go along with it.

To even be able to sandbag the player you need to know where they are. Plus, if a cheater doesn't want you to sandbag them, they can make that happen as well.

Don't get me wrong though; I think a player who, during the match, becomes aware that another player has to be cheating should try to not actively exploit that situation. However, there is relatively little a survivor can even do. Somehow there is that idea that survivors are responsible for the behaviour of their fellow survivors - but that's impossible since you have near zero influence on what another survivor does.

In everyone's best interest is to end that match asap and report the cheating player.
