Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Add a new map to Forsaken Boneyard

Currently, it is fairly common for Survivors to bring the "Crow's Eye" Offering, to bring Killers to the map Eyrie of Crows. This map is generally accepted to be very Survivor sided, with unofficial tracking tools like Nightlight marking it as the lowest kill rate map in the entire game.

Now I remember in the past we had a similar issue. The map Garden of Joy is considered very Survivor Sided as well and up until ~1 year ago it was not rare for Survivors to bring a map offering to go there.

However, without reworking the map or reworking map offerings or anything, the usage rate of this offering vastly decreased. And what caused this? Well, with the release of the Unknown a new map, Greenville Square, was added. This map is more evenly balanced than Garden of Joy, with it having a slightly above average kill rate according to Nightlight. But also, this map was on Withered Isle. The same realm as Garden of Joy. So now the map offering has a 50/50 chance of being Garden of Joy or Withered Isle.

I feel like this change would help balance a very strong offering, without having to take away focus from new content.

No. The last thing we need are more maps. Instead of adding a new map to the Forsaken Boneyard, the developers should rework Eyrie into a more fair balanced mapas this would help a lot more than a new map (with better lighting).

They should also rework map offering (decreasing the chance) since the current versions are so unhealthy, unfun, and disgusting for the game and for the playerbase.

I have literally over a 3500 Screech Cobblers left on my killers. Should I just never use bloodpoint offering again, just because I don't want to be send to the same unfair map over and over again? That also ignores that there are scenarios where I want to bring other offerings like Putrid Oak or Cut Coin. (Survivors don't have these issues because they have a total of 4 offering slots)

I've always thought this. I don't like any balancing argument that says, "just bring x" to fix a problem.

It's not possible to perfectly balance a map, but swinging another variant of Eyrie of Crows to be more killer-sided wouldn't be too difficult. You could make a shrunken version of the map, maybe just barricade parts off like they did to RPD to make it smaller.

Or add a brand new, unique map into the realm. (Like they did with Greenville)

We could also simply remove it:

The loops are brutal, it's still too big for m1-killers, it hurts to look at because it so bright AND you don't really see scratchmarks because of that, you don't hear footsteps because of the sand, and the hitboxes regarded to some walls and bushes are horrible especially for dash-killers.

I don't see a reason to let it stay, it's just a horrible map all in all. I have to admit it looks cool outside of it hurting my eyes, but that's not reason enough to endure this map xD

Id love a polar opposite map on the boneyard realm. Dark, unsafe pallets, small, you would never see the crows eye again even if eyrie wasn't changed.

There is also no harm to disagree with an idea or suggestion. The issue with Eyrie is not fixed by adding a new map that is balanced or slightly killersided. It's like nerfing Perks because Nurse is too strong - you don't fix the actual problem. This is a mistake the devs are already repeatedly doing and this creates more problems than solutions.

Adding new maps to the game also results into the issue that new players will have even more to learn and get overwhelmed by the amount of things to learn - a problem some players are worried about with the FNAF chapter being around the corner. New maps also have the risk of being unbalanced and create more issues like the Vecna maps. Instead, the developers should rather focus on the current maps, rework and tweak them and then they can introduce new maps. Getting new content is cool but it comes at the cost of delaying solutions for current problems.

A solution for the brightness of the map could be ingame filters or the option to make the game brighter or darker. There are also people who struggle with the darkness of the Borgo, McMillen, and Azarov realms. Many games have these options as there are many players that need this accessibility either because they cannot see well or they play on console/with sun light in the room.

Maybe if there were more than 3 slightly survivor sided maps you would see more offering variety
