buying the game issue

So, when i first started dbd i used to play on the ps4 but i didnt buy the full game i just kept only buying psp plus, then when i decided to fully buy the game it worked and i didnt need to buy ps plus anymore, but then when I bought the ps5 i went back into dbd which was still purchased but then when i entered the game in couldnt click either survivor or killer without it asking me to buy ps plus, when i had already bought the full game, so i could enter the game but only the selection menu and even play the starter things but not the actual games

You still need PS PLUS to play I think? I play xbox and we cannot play on xbox without Gold etc to play online.
