Tome challenge bug

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: the tome challenge "thorough cleansing" (tome 3, level 3) is bugged. Even after doing what the challenge requires (cleanse all totems and escape), the challenge tracker will tell you that it is completed, however it doesn't get completed in the tome (I am not entirely sure, but this might be a 2v8 specific bug).

PLATFORM: Nintendo Switch

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: equip the tome challenge, cleanse all 5 totems and escape. The challenge will not be completed (at least in 2v8, I haven't tried 1v4)

    Update: the challenge tracker also marks it as completed if you escape, even if not all totems were cleansed.
