Two Ideas For 2v8 Classes

As excited as I am to see 2v8 returning, I find the lack of changes to the survivor class options a little disappointing. It's not that I don't like the ones we have - I think they cover the basic archetypes of survivor playstyles rather well - but that I think we have a lot of room for more effects to bring more niche playstyles to the mode.

Normally I'd structure a post like this with some specific pitches, but I'm not yet confident in my ability to pitch the actual format of a 2v8 class, so instead I'll just pitch some broad ideas.

First thing I'd want to see: A boon class.

Totems exist in the 2v8 trials but they have no purpose beyond being bloodpoint banks. No killer classes have hexes, and no survivor classes interact with boons at all. Giving one class a boon as a way of bringing some kind of purpose to those totems would be a very good move, in my opinion.

As for which boon to give… that I'm not sure of. CoH would be redundant and Shadow Step might risk messing with the game's balance of aura reveal tools, so maybe a combination of Dark Theory and Illumination? Whatever the effects, I do think they'd need to get a range increase for 2v8.

Second thing I'd like to see: A flashlight class.

Give this class a combination of Residual Manifest for guaranteed flashlights out of chests, and Champion of Light to actually use those flashlights better. I don't know what else this class should do, but that alone would be a really fun thing to bring in to the game.

There are sure to be other good ideas for classes, but those are the ones I'd want to see, and are the ones that might get me to swap off Medic for once lol

    I'd like a trapper class:
Blast Mine/Wiretap/Chem Trap/Flash bang/Red herring as some ideas

    A Stunner class:
Head on or some way to stun without lockers since there isnt a great deal in 2v8 (like dead hard but it stuns instead), decisive strike maybe as well. Just something more aggressive that's about fighting back on a timer to let you help others.

Balanced Landing/Lithe/Smash hit alternatives for Escapist maybe.

    I'd really like these classes:
Meme class with deception, diversion and maybe chem trap or something to help out in chase.

Treasure hunter class with the ability to rummage for unique items and possible gain bonuses for giving them to teammates or something.

And possibly a class that has access to two portals and can cross the map (not in chase tho)
